Look Around You

Success is when preparation meets opportunity-Zig Ziglar......so my question to you my people is when success comes knocking will you be prepared? 

Hi people, I hope you have taken some time to meditate on my question from the last blog post. I needed to pour myself a cut of tea while thinking about this question. I felt like it was screaming at me. Raise your hand if you felt the same way, hahaha trust me, we are all in this together. 

What is the significance of that question you wonder? For me, this question has become even more important in this season Covid19 where the fast pace of life has slowed down and we are facing a lot of uncertainty about what the postcovid19 world will look like. I don't know if I am alone, but I believe we will all be surrounded by new opportunities. Of course, things will be different, and we will all be affected but in the midst of the crisis there will be opportunities. 

The only way we can hit the sweet spot of success is if we are prepared for the opportunities coming our way. So what this tells you and me is that this is a time to sharpen up on your skills. This is a time to look at the list you made of areas you need to improve on, skills you have always said you wanted to learn and develop and you haven't gotten a chance to. This is the time. 

As an event planner are there skills you need to gain? Are there areas you need to improve on? You should use this time to learn the necessary skills that will help you grow. 

Let’s talk about some hard questions. The underlining question is are you prepared? As a wedding planner are you prepared for opportunities you hope for in your business? Are you prepared to engage the type of couples you want? Are you prepared to attract the kind of clients you want? Are you prepared to handle working with and engaging different types of vendors? Is our team ready to handle the type of events you want your company to execute? Do you have the right team in place in the first place? Do you know how to create the timelines for your events that give you success? Are you prepared to deal with hiccups when they arise?

Once events can take place again, expect an influx of events, you will get inquiries (opportunities) and my desire for you is that you are fully equipped with all you need to rise up to the place of success.
