Making The Best First Impression

Did you hear......I released a new FREE downloadable template this month? I want to make sure my people get a chance to snag it too. Grab your copy HERE.

I can’t stress enough the importance of making a great first impression. The world we live in is fast-paced and most times you have less than 5 seconds to grab people’s attention. When a couple reaches out to you to plan their wedding, they have taken time out of their schedule to figure out if you will be the right fit for them. So, make it count!

I get questions from new planners all the time wondering what it is they are doing wrong and why it seems they are not booking the right clients or why they are having consultations, but that are not leading to any sales. When I seat with them and inquire further, I have found that sometimes the issue is they are not asking the “right questions.”

Trust me I was there too. The more I practiced talking with clients the more comfortable I got and the more I could see what resonated with them and what did not. Now, this might sound a little crazy, but I practice consultations in front of a mirror or sometimes while I am driving, I come up with practice questions and rehearse what I will say.

I know it’s a little weird, but it is helpful, and I encourage you to do the same. It will allow you feel more comfortable with engaging real clients when the time comes; because you have practiced. Have you ever heard of the saying “success is when opportunity meets preparation?” If you want to do better at consultations, you have practice but also equip yourself with the right questions.

One very consistent feedback I get from clients after a consultation is that they never had anyone else ask them so many questions that helped them think about their event differently. This is one of the reasons RAE Affairs stands out to couples. Even when they don’t book us for cost reasons, these consultations have led to lifetime referrals.

The key here is not to ask questions like a laundry list. I have curated these questions for you to help you get to know the clients more, understand their vision, personality, preference, and style.

I encourage you to download this template today to help you have better consultations and make the best first impression by asking the right questions.

Love Always.
